Lake Home Theater Service Upgrade: Pewaukee, WI
BC Neville Tech was initially called into this lake home theater project to look at a nonfunctioning subwoofer. The system was outdated and did not feature a smart receiver. After consulting with the client, he decided it was time to bring the system up to current technology standards and decided on a Yamaha’s flagship receiver the RX-A3080. We also added surge protection for his entire theater with a Panamax MR4000.
The Major Benefits of Upgrading a Receiver:
- 9.2 Dolby Atmos surround configuration for a cinema-like experience.
- More amp power for increased volume and a larger dynamic range.
- App control of receiver and streaming services through the Yamaha MusicCast App.
- HDMI connectivity.
The client’s speaker cables and main equipment cabling were run exposed on the floor. The client did not like this, so all exposed speakers, subwoofer, and network cables were run in-wall concealed and terminated cleanly to wall plates. The client also asked that we take some time cleaning up the main equipment cabling, they were very satisfied with the improvement.
Finally, we added (2) Sunfire XTEQ10 Dual Subwoofers to the clients existing Polk 7 Channel Tower Speaker configuration. This system shook the house! It delivered the bass-heavy system the client was looking for. The whole family is looking forward to playing video games, streaming their favorite movies, and watching their favorite sports teams from the comfort of their home while feeling like they have a front-row seat.
Thanks, Mike!
Three Main Benefits of Professional Home Theaters Installations:
- Less work for you! If you were to install a home theater on your own you’d most likely spend hours researching the best equipment, what tools you’ll need, and how to install everything. A pro keeps up on the latest technology and equipment, knows what type of equipment is best for each scenario, and has all of the necessary tools.
- The job gets done no matter how tough. You may think you know how to do just about anything, but when you’re working on a home project, just about anything can happen. You never know what really goes into a project until you get started. A pro knows how to troubleshoot difficult situations.
- A professional installer most likely knows a lot more than you do. A pro will actually save you money in the long run because they have the knowledge to be more efficient and can provide options you not even be aware of.
